Stark Raving Madeleine is excited to announce that we are finally embarking on the much discussed documentary tentatively titled, “Who Says You Cant?”, an exciting look at how far women have come and how far we have to go. From eight year-old skateboarding girls to burlesque queen single moms, it will be a fun way to completely disassemble the “girl” stereotype and rethink what it means to be a woman.
Our goal right now is to raise a mere $150,000 to make this film happen. Here are a few ways you can be a part of this amazing project:
Invest in the project. With investment opportunities ranging from $500 to the whole $150,000, there’s a wide range of price points. How cool would it be to have your name as Executive Producer? Oh yeah…
Can’t afford that much, but still want to help?
Get the word out. Post about us on your blog, add us to your MySpace, your Facebook. Contact your local newspapers and television stations asking them to do a story on us.
Organize an event. Whether it’s at your local high school, community center, business… hire the one and only Stark Raving Madeleine to come present one of her exciting speeches on stereotyping, labels, or unrealistic expectations.
Volunteer. There’s a need for extra hands in all aspects of the process, from accounting to editing to boom mic holding. It’s always handy to have a couple of intimidating looking guys around for security when shooting outdoors.
Donate. Any amount will help, just look at how much the Obama campaign raised off tiny little donations! If you break it down, we only need 6,000 people to give $25 to reach our goal. We can do that! CLICK HERE to donate now.

I stumbled on your site totally by accident, but I’m soooo glad I did! This is exactly what I’ve been looking for. For ages now I’ve wanted to invest in something that really spoke to me and my philosophies, but have never been able to find something that really captured it all. Until now! I’ve read through most of your site and every page I just find more and more interesting topics. This documentary is exactly what we need, not only for our daughters, but for ourselves! I am motivated to do whatever I can to see this completed and in the hands of every woman out there.
