I still to this day don't understand the comments from guys like the ones in the youtube clip. What are they afraid of?

When I outfitted people at Ducati New York, I made sure to make every customer feel welcome, regardless of gender. It's good business if nothing else since money spends the same no matter which gender it came from. When I was the service manager at Pro Italia L.A. I did the same with service customers - after all, most men or women had similar levels of technical knowledge and everyone likes to be treated well. The more people who ride well, the better off we are as a group since the general public is less likely to tar us with stereotypes/pass unfair laws like bike bans/be careless around riders on the road if they actually know someone who rides.

Truly a case of 'united we stand, divided we fall' if ever there was one.

Nice job on the site, BTW.

This is great. I personally know and skate with 3 or 4 of the girls in that video and it's always cool to see people wanting to make an effort to expose more girls skateboarding. I've got two different skate video projects where I have tried doing the same type of thing - showcasing that the talents of girls skaters are just as valid as the boys. Check them out at:

If you need any help for your endeavors, just let me know. I'd be happy to assist.

Hi , I am Ilona.... I have been ( almost) clean and sober of Martha and June since my son started highschool... sometimes, I forget about myself and slip into the "Martha" mode, then it blows up in my face... my toughest time are Christmas and other holidays... while others watching TV, relaxing or having fun I unpack Xmas ornaments, ( many many boxes of them ) and spand hours to create the perfectly balanced and colour coordinated Christmas Tree... how sick is that ? Next year - Charlie Brown's Christmas for us !

Wow! What a wonderful experience. I'm so glad you shared that with us. As a new grandmother, it gives me encouragement that my ideas about sharing and laughing with my granddaughter are correct. It is all about the spirit and silliness, isn't it? I look forward to hearing you speak in person now that you are in the UK!

[...] Carrie and friends live by the mantra “I want him to love me for me”. Never mind that these women are crazy, petty, judgmental and mean, they are completely caught up in criticizing a man’s package, bank account, hometown, and whatever other random criteria they can think up. What would happen if they were to judge themselves by the same standards? Do they ever stop to think “Hey, maybe I should work out some of my own issues before throwing them at someone else.” Emulating this behaviour is yet another way women sabotage the relationships in their lives and a good reason why no one should watch Sex And The City. (see The Sex And The City Curse post) [...]
